Headed to AQS's Des Moine Quilt Festival

What a week it has been!
I drove down to St George last Sunday night...
thinking I was only going to be gone for one night.

I needed to finish my new
Meet Me Under the Mistletoe
pattern.
Finally yesterday morning...
I trekked it back home.
I spent hours
at Barnes and Noble...
fine tuning...
re-writing...
touching up drawings...
My sweet daughter in law Melissa
stopped by with the little ones...

Kiera polished off my Cream Puff...

Baby Ryan was asleep in the stroller...
But not for long!
So right now....
Kenny Roy is loading up the car...
I'm finishing up my computer work...
and we are headed to Des Moine
to one of our biggest shows of the year.

This next month is going to be horrific.
There's no other word for it.

We head home from Des Moine next Sunday...
we have 2 days to make it home.
Tuesday morning...
first thing...7 a.m.
I pick up my youngest daughter...
from
JAIL!
(Story coming....)
and we hop in the car
and head for Mancuso's
Pacific International Quilt Show
in Santa Clara CA.

We come home
and have two weeks...
to get ready for Quilt Festival in Houston...
and we have to have the house
completely packed up
and moved out from!

Prayers Needed!!

The husband is telling me...
to get in the car...

Toodles....

It's Fabric Tuesday over at Quilt Story.
For  my first post...
I thought I'd share the
first ever pattern I designed.
"Meet Me In Paris"
I had no idea that this quilt
would not only put me into business...
but that thousands of people
would buy kits and patterns for it.
We continue to kit it up in all different
colors and it continues to sell.
It has quite a story behind it...
If you want to read it stop by HERE!
It not only is a fun quilt to make...
it is EASY!
So many people have shared their
own Meet Me In Paris stories
with me now...
and it continues to bless me.
And to think I almost didn't finish it!!

New Pattern: Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

My poor honey...not only did he totally tear down the booth at the Rocky Mtn Quilt Festival for me....I begged him to take pictures of
Meet Me Under the Mistletoe...
while it was hanging under good lighting. And.....he didn't forget!!
The Quilt
Close-up of the Hearts and Ribbons

I thought I'd posted pictures of this quilt in progress...
but can't seem to find them in my blog posts...
so back to the camera....
Trying out backgrounds for the center piece and working with the checkered border.
This was my first basket made with the Dresden Ruler
My new basket...liked it much better.

At This point I became stuck. Enter Marla!!

Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival

We made it to Loveland for the Quilt Show!
Here is Ken setting up the booth:
I know I am very lucky to have a hubby...
who diligently does all of this for me.

Now here is the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe...
being hung for the very first time:
The pattern will be ready at the end of September.
You can order it online for $19.99
If you  pre order it before its release of Sept 30, 2010,
we are offering Free Shipping.
To take part in this offer Click Here
(Thank you Miss Marla for all of your help
in getting this finished for me!)

We are back at the hotel...after a long show day. I can hardly talk...my throat is raw from demoing all day.
Thankfully we have kept very busy...
We almost always have a double booth,
but here we have a single...
and it has been very difficult
to give demos with
such limited room.

Just look at what a mess my demo table is:
I had 6 different demos going on:
The EZ Dresden Ruler, the EZ Scallop Ruler
the Needle Threader,
Mylar Templates for Grandmother's Flower Garden,
and my new Mystery BOM.

Quilters are thrilled with the
Mylar Templates for the
Grandmother's Flower Garden.
Several ladies have had the same
problem as I have with my stitches
showing through to the front with the
paper templates, and are excited
to see my samples...where none of the
stitches show through...
all because of the plastic
templates.
If any of you are on a 'hexi' craze...
you have got to give these a try.
If you want to order them... Click Here!

Tomorrow I will take pictures of
'quilts' hanging in the show
and get them posted in a few days.
Here's a Dear Jane...
I'm always impressed with these quilts.
Until next time....
Happy Stitching
to all of my buddies out there!
