WARNING!!! Messy, Messy Pictures Ahead....

To get this my friends...
(notice how I didn't post the messy pictures first...
I was afraid you might not dare view
today's post. Smile.)

You sometimes have to make a mess....
I mean...
a real mess....
I decided this last week...
that we were going to go
through...
6 years of Quilt Shoppe Scraps...

sigh...

the hubby....

doubly sighs...

And I figured we could get some amazing jelly rolls
out of all this.

 So The Guitar Man...
gets busy on the AccuCut Machine.
What a pain these are to make....
but just lookie....look my quilting buddies....

From this...
...to this...

Talk about a walk down Memory Lane!

After we made these up...
I wanted to take them to
MY
studio.

The Guitar Man
would have nothing to do with my plan...

On the road they went...

My new creation...
John'aLee's Jelly Babies!

You know how so often you get several pieces in a jelly roll
that are just plain ugly fabrics??

Well these
ladies and gentlemen...
are ALL to die for fabrics!

Colors custom designed by me!

Okay....
just a
few
more
messy pictures...

(Jane...darling...(Jane's Fabric)...
My new friend....
I think 'you' are to blame for all of this insanity!

After digging for Heavenly Peace fabrics for you....
that is when all of this reared its oh so ugly...
but beautiful head! Wink!

By this time....
I start thinking...
Hmmm...
I bet I can make up some
awesome custom
Meet Me In Paris Kits.
No two alike...
that's for sure...

While creating all of these...
a previous "Meet Me In Paris" customer
emailed me...
and said her friend was just a dyin' for a kit in Purples and Greens....

I obliged...

I rarely put the Meet Me In Paris kits online for sale.
I have sold thousands of these kits over the last 6 years...
and can hardly make them up fast enough.
So we only take them to shows.

But seeing I posted about the process...
I thought I'd take the time to make a few available for purchase.

This is a 95" X 95" Finished Queen Size Quilt.

They are priced to sell!

If anyone is interested please contact us by phone or email.

Whoops!
For those of you not connected to the
Meet Me In Paris scene...
here's a pic of the original quilt...

You can see two other colorways here.

All of these are headed out to an Oklahoma show on Thursday.

Yep....
On the road again...

So that's all for now folks!

Thanks for stopping by...

Ciao~

  11. It's a bit like 'The Ugly Duckling'! Things have to get ugly for a while before they become beautiful. I'm amazed you got those fabulous kits and jelly babies out of all that mess!
