  3. Great list, John'aLee, I truly believe that a thankful heart is the best way to have a good outlook on life. We should teach our children to be grateful, too, and have satisfaction in what we have, instead of what we want. Thank you for the happy list!

  4. What a great list John'aLee! My top five would be - God, my sweet hubby, and my three precious children. I do have a very best friend too, for which I am very thankful. We quilt together, and laugh and eat....... even though we live 1,000 miles apart. That's the kind of friend who is a blessing. Thanks for the uplifting post.

  8. I actually do this a lot - I try to cultivate an attitude of thankfulness, and teach my boys to as well. It sure cuts down on the complaining, lol!

Let's see: Jesus....my family.....my home...my BED, cuz it heals my back....friends...better stop now!

  13. Hi John'aLee! How interesting that you blogged about this today...I was just thinking of this very same subject yesterday as I was sewing! I made my own mental list as I was working, and it was quite long, but my top five would have to be:

    1. God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ
    2. My husband
    3. My family (including my hubby's family!)
    4. My BFF - which happens to be my sister
    5. My fur children

Thanks for such an uplifting and inspiring post. I think we all need to take some time each day and be mindful of all the blessings we have!

    XOXO,

    Cyndi

  14. You have lots of things on your list that I am thankful for too! Taking time to write them down is such a good exercise, because it's so easy to take things for granted. I read a wonderful book called One THousand Gifts. It's all about doing that exact thing. Ann at Holy Experience blog wrote the book.
Thanks for leaving a comment today.

  17. I don't know why but it's all too easy to complain about our 'lot' rather than taking a few moments to be thankful and remember the things we love. Thank you for reminding us. A lot of the things on your list would also be on mine with the addition of singing.
