Prayers Needed!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

It's kind of a sad day around here.

Tory's hubby deployed today...
to a bad part of Afghanistan.

 Steven is a crew chief on a Chinook.

He called me today a few hours before he deployed to say goodbye and to tell me he loved me.
I've been tearing up the rest of the day.

So many of you have emailed me telling me you still think of Tory and pray for her, and I can't thank you enough.

I know I have a lot of new followers and subscribers,
so for you,
Tory lost a fiance over there in 2011, 15 days before they were to be married.
If you'd like to read about it

Hope you all are having a romantic day!!

Toodles....

  3. Oh, no. :( She's got to be so scared. Hopefully his deployment will be like almost everybody's - too long, too far away, but eventually over and back HOME! My Scott has done 3 major deployments and something like 3 minor ones over the years. The last was to Afghanistan. Is his for a full year? Does he know if they'll be able to Skype every so often? Scott wasn't able to where he was, but most folks I know with deployments over there get to do so. I hope these guys do. Hugs! {{{{}}}}

  18. Stepping up those prayers for Steven and all of you. When our boy came back, the first thing he said to me was, "Wow! Mama, you sure did get gray-headed!" Ummm...yes Son, and there is a reason for that! Still, praying that God holds him close and gives you all comfort in knowing that he is being watched over and prayed for.

  19. It sounds like Tory is a very strong woman to have been able to move forward in her life. I am happy for her that she was able to learn to trust again, fall in love again & now to be able to let her husband go to a place that has no good memories. I think it takes a lot of faith and inner strength to get to where Tory is today and I admire the courage & sacrifice it takes to be a military wife. I will keep Tory & Steven in my thoughts and prayers. I will also look forward to having all our troops home very soon. I sincerely appreciate Steven's service to our Country.
