Hi all my gals and guys!
First of all thank you ever so much for every one of your emails, comments,
prayers and good wishes you have sent me.
Some days....
that was the only light I saw!
I haven't written you all back, but please know how much they meant to me.
So here's the update.
Had to walk away from our home.
Basically a match needs to be lit to it.
And it looks like I am going to settle in Clarksville, TN
down where my daughter lives.
We've rented a house,
and now I am just waiting for my stuff to come from storage.
I have to go through each and every thing to see what can be salvaged.
Hmmmm....
I hear garage sales a'callin me!
Hey....I'll just call this my 'Thrift Shop' house!
I will post pics when I can. I'm still without a computer.
One of my friends rebuilt one for me, I just need to go to Nashville to pick it up.
Where would we be without friends?
For now, while I am waiting for everything to come together,
I am spending a lot of time at Starbucks working on my memoirs.
And I am hoping to be back in the saddle with:
in a few weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience.
So for now,
sending tons and toodles of Love and Affection,
So happy to hear from you. The QAL can wait.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the outcome, Johna'Lee, but is there a silver lining to this horribly dark cloud? Moving near your daughter will be a good thing, won't it? Too bad it had to come about this way, though!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for you, and will still be here when your life gets put back together. Let me know when the memoirs are published. : )
(((((Johna'Lee)))))
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help... just remember, things are just things. Life won't end if you don't have this that or the other doohickey.
Although it started with a catastrophe, a new plan was sprung on you... testing you so you will grow. And yes... we can grow and grow and grow until we're 101! Even 110!
Hang in there! This too shall pass... cherish all the wonderful people in your life! It's hard to receive but you learn what it means to folks when you give to them...
One more hug...
(((((Johna'Lee)))))
hi johna'lee! i am glad to hear you are about to settle down again. sometimes these experiences can turn out to be good. it makes us do things we might not have. i look forward to seeing your new place!
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie, thank you for the update. The bright side, closer to your daughter. xxx

It is so wonderful to hear from you!!! Thank you for keeping us updated.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine what it's like to walk away from your home so I'm sending some bit of love inside this note that will magically jump off the screen as you read it and immediately fill your heart to help sustain you… along with everyone else that's doing the same in their own way. (I'm sure not everyone is doing magic spells in the comment box!) *kd.
So glad to hear you are ok. God works in strange ways there is always a reason for everything that happens maybe he wanted you to be closer to family? I hope things go smoother for you in the coming months. Many Many Blessings
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if things are lining up for you. I was hoping for Texas....grin, but being by your daughter is a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteJohna'Lee, how wonderful to hear a bit of a brightness to your voice. It is so sad about your house but now with each step backwards we have to embrace your new journey ahead with two steps forward. This is what I tell myself as each day passes while we are out of our house while its getting rebuilt from the earthquake.Try to grab those moments of joy and hold on to the tight, everything happens for a reason as we all know.
ReplyDeleteHuge hugs from way down here in New Zealand

My motto in life has always been "put a smile on my face & straighten up"! Looks like you have the same one!!!!! I heard you were at Madisonville?? We go to Fosters (in Alabama) - much closer for us. But I miss you - need to figure out HOW we can see each other. Hugs and love - glad you're still in Tennessee! ~ Dori ~
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to walk away. Sounds like you are looking at the positives now! Close to grand baby is a good thing;-). My daughter and family just moved from Woodlawn to Texas so I now have no reason to come to Clarksville! Shoot! Hope you settle in and things look up as days go by!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
You are all safe and that has to be your consolation, because losing your home is devastating. So very sorry. You are so brave and have such a positive attitude!! You truly lead by example. No wonder your daughter is brave and strong and postive, too!
ReplyDeleteContinued hugs and prayers, Johna'Lee

ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing better Johna'Lee. This is such a major change, but I am happy to hear that you will be near your daughter. We do know that God works all things for our good and His glory. May you find peace in knowing that you are in His hands.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking of you again today. Thanks for checking in with us. So sorry about the home loss, but surely it'll be nice to be closer to your girl. Love that you've got your chin-up feet back under you! Hang in there!! It's all going to be good in the end. If it's not good yet, it's not the end!
ReplyDeleteSending hugs and prayer from Henderson, NC.
ReplyDeleteI had to watch friends of mine walk away from their flooded home five years ago. It was an awful thing. I'm glad you're doing well. I think of you often....
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about us - we can wait! Maybe this is all happening for a reason that will become clear in time.
