Finally....The Rancher's Daughter New Block!!

Oh my word...it's working!!
Hope I don't jinx it!

We're working on ...

(Just in case you for got!)

So here is the inner part of layout for Nancy's block:
Sew your rows together diagonally:
(Make sure when pressing that you press one row to the right and the next row to the left so those seams snuggle in together nicely!)
Continue until all rows are together.
Now stitch rows together:
Line up ruler ¼" past where red blocks attach to white blocks:
Trim.

( I forgot to take pics when I added the borders to the block but I think it is pretty self explanatory!)

Here are the measurements again too along with a pic of the sketch:

 Cutting Instructions:

A Cut (12) 1½" X 1½" Squares (White)
B Cut (8) 1½" X 1½" Squares (Red Print)
C Cut (4) 1½" X 1½" Squares (Yellow Print)
D Cut (1) 1½" X 1½" Squares (Red/White Print)
E Cut (2) 1" X 6" Grn/Wht Stripe (You will trim this to fit length)
Cut (2) 1" X 6" (")      (You will trim this to fit length)
F Cut (2) 3/4" X 7" Red (You will trim this to fit length)
Cut (2) 3/4" X 7" Red (You will trim this to fit length)

So hopefully now things will be on track.
It does take 10 times as long to post pics, so I will probably be posting less in a post.

Thanks all for being so understanding!

Have a Really Happy, Happy Week!!

  1. I really like the method you used to make this--no sewing of triangles on the ends of each row. Just stitch on a square and whack it off. : )
I might even get this made today!!

  2. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this block. Have you tried resizing your pictures in your photo program? Someone recommended I do that and it works great...speeds things up.
