Cumberland River!
This is where the Guitar Man and I go walking each morning...
and sometimes in the evening as well...
The walking path that winds around down by the river... |
The pathway getting down to the walk way... |
After a 30 day hard run...
with not one day off...
I kinda...
crashed and burned!
Someone emailed me this morning and asked ...
"When is it going to slow down???"
Now there's a cheery thought!
We are off early in the morning for
Quilt Inc's
big
show
in
Cincinnati Ohio.
I have been able to make a few runs to the bookstore...
and Ken and I found this amazing park just a few miles
from the house...
that we sat around and enjoyed one afternoon...
He snapped a picture of me reading my Peace and Plenty book... |
Beautiful Spring at the Park! |
I was reading a great book at Barnes the other day...
titled...
The Happiness Project!
One thought from it...
It is more important the things done on a daily small basis...
rather than one grand gesture.
Hmmm...
Walk a little each day...
Meditate a little each day...
Eat right....all day long....
Work on a project just a little bit each day...
This has been my ponderings...
I think it will make a difference
if I can be more disciplined
and think in this kind of mindset!
So off ...
to do the little things...

Such wonderful pictures...glad you got a few minutes to smell the roses and read!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of the park are wonderful! It looks like Spring is in full bloom!
ReplyDeleteHave a great show in Cincinnati. Wish I could be there to see your booth up close.
Beautiful pics! I love Nashville :) The walkway looks familiar. You must live near the Opryland Hotel and the Opry.

Donna
What a beautiful place for a walk, I love walks near the water, ocean, rivers or lakes.

Lovely photos - it looks a lot like that around here lately too - warmer than the average April!
ReplyDeleteHope you were able to fully re-charge your batteries before setting off again.

What a gorgeous place, hon, so glad you get to enjoy it! Still no flowers here...*sob* I really love that quote, I may have to apply it as well!
ReplyDeleteHi John'aLee
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful walk that must have been. Though things never stop blooming here, there's nothing like the colors of Spring. And water always refreshes.
Loved the quote about doing simple things. That is a lesson I'm being taught as I walk. It's not been easy, since I'm a doer and think big. But it's been a valuable one.
I hope you get to take more walks, absorb nature,
Linda
Wonderful! Refreshing!
